Hammarsdale Junction: fast-food outlets going fast
25 Jan 2013

THE developers of Hammarsdale Junction, Mpumalanga’s new retail complex, are clear about the strategic positioning of the centre when it comes to its core offerings.
Fashion and food are the main outlets and the centre is encouraging more fashion and home store tenants to rent the remaining spaces.
It has been over four months since construction began and Hammarsdale Junction has already secured over 85% of its gross retail leasing space.
However, the aim is for the centre’s 19 000 square metres of gross leasable area to be filled mostly with national tenants in the fashion, home store and fast food categories. While spaces for fast food retail have already been taken, there is scope for potential fashion and home store tenants.
“After examining retail growth reports countrywide, there is clear evidence that even during this economic downfall, consumers are still willing to spend good money on quality clothing and fashion accessories,” Hammarsdale Junction said in a statement.
Anchor tenants include Pick n Pay and Spar. The centre is set to open later this year.
