Video: Winning SA script premieres in Jozi

Alan Shelley's winning script 'Spirit of a Denture' premiered on Saturday in Johannesburg with Kevin Spacey in the leading role.

Shelley was the South African winner from the  Trigger Street Productions Presents Jameson First Shot competition, a project initiated by Kevin Spacey to help find and develop young talent. The competition was open to South Africa, Russia and USA and a winning screenplay was chosen from each country,  with Spacey playing the lead in each winning film.

Shelley, a 26-year-old from Cape Town, was chosen from over 700 other entries and he received the opportunity to fly to Los Angeles to shoot his short film with the backing of Trigger Street Productions.

His short film tell the story of a dentist who is one day visited by a pirate.
