Shanna Dixon sent in these photos taken from Underberg, Himeville and Bulwer.

 

Fatima P Aboobaker sent these photos in of her five-year-old son Ismail and his cousin Mishka (8), who were so fascinated with the snow in Nottingham Road.

Trudy Cadman sent in these photos of her family's weekend in the snow: "Fabulous! Dargle area, about 50cm fell over a 24 hour period. Thankfully the electricity never failed (amazing)! And we were all cosy."

Cathy Hannah submitted these photos: "Frosty followed us - the kids were so enthralled with this mobile snowman with bottle, clothing and all, on the bonnet of this car they took the photo out of our rear window."

Anand (pictured left) said his son Shivaan Gounden (right) was so overjoyed with his first sighting of snow that he wanted to make sure it is snow.

Tara and Kelly Martin recently moved down from Zimbabwe and submitted these photos when they saw snow for the first time. "This weekend was magical, it was a dream come true, one of the best days of me and my sisters lives... please could you put this pic in your excelent newspaper."

Heavy Snow blanketed much of the KZN Midlands over the weekend, with temperatures reaching chilling proportions, this however did not deter the many folks who drove from as far a Richards Bay to have fun in the snow.

Scott Thomson and Penny Uppink and the claiming to build the biggest snowman of the weekend - taken just a few km outside Mpophomeni.

Marlon George took these photos at Currys Post on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately about 50 sheep were frozen to death. There were a few desperate attempts to rescue the other sheep.
